Randy Knutson is a proud member of the bicycling community in Minnesota. His focus is on bicycle safety, and improving bicycle safety in the community. He has worked to make the community more bike-friendly, and is a Board Member of the Greater Mankato Convention and Visitor Bureau and the Mankato Sports Commission, and is a member of the Greater Mankato Multisport Club.
Randy is an avid bicyclist and triathlete, once competing in over 22 triathlons in a single year, including the Ironman event in Cozumel. He been fortunate to have bicycled all over the country. As the head coach of the Green Hornets Kids Triathlon Team, which involves up to 60 kids bicycling at every practice, Randy can tell you, he understands the importance and value of safety.
Advocating healthy living and getting kids out and active, Randy founded and directs the Mankato Mud Run (2010-14), the Mankato Zombie Run (2012-14), and the Green Hornets Kids Triathlon Team. He is a USAT Certified Race Director, and licensed soccer coach.
